Monday 20 July
Future Fields Research Hub launch

This major new initiative brings together expertise from across the University in agricultural and environmental science, artificial intelligence and robotics to accelerate innovation in smart, sustainable agriculture.
The launch will showcase how cutting-edge research, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, sensing systems and environmental science can work together to deliver practical solutions for farmers and land managers.
Tuesday 21 July
Water Resilience, Farming and Future Opportunities

This workshop will explore water resilience and flood management across the Severn catchment, new opportunities in environmental markets and green finance, practical approaches to balancing productivity with environmental outcomes, and training opportunities. Co-hosted by IBERS and the Marches Future Farming Project.
Space Tech for River Environments and Agricultural Monitoring Sensors

Developing a low-cost, satellite-connected water quality monitoring system to help farmers and authorities track nutrient pollution, support regulatory compliance and improve river health, even in remote rural areas.
Securing the Future of the Welsh Language: Tertiary Education and the Agricultural Workforce

The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol will hold a panel discussion discussing tertiary education and the Welsh speaking agricultural workforce.

Green Futures Innovation Park

Hear from the leaders driving forward exciting plans for a new Green Futures Innovation Park at Aberystwyth University’s Gogerddan Campus in Ceredigion, as part of the Mid Wales Growth Deal. This pioneering development will build on the University’s expertise in agri-tech, food security, plant science, bio-based manufacturing, biorefining and environmental science.
Throughout the Show
In addition to the above discussions, sessions will be held throughout the week by the Department of Life Sciences, School of Veterinary Science and the Healthcare Education Centre.
The University's Institute of Biological, Environmental & Rural Sciences is also hosting an exhibition stand in the Countryside Care Area (877CCA), demonstrating a wide variety of its work, including the latest in grassland and plant breeding, drone agriculture monitoring and other research.
