ProCam strengthens crop nutrition team
Leading agronomy firm ProCam has strengthened its UK technical team with the appointment of Andrew Cromie as Head of Crop Nutrition.
Andrew spent eight years as an agronomist advising farmers and growers before joining Unium Bioscience, where he developed a strong commercial acumen working with nutrition, biostimulant and biological products over four years. These two roles provide the ideal practical and technical backdrop to develop ProCam’s excellent range of nutrition products.
“Practical agronomy experience and innovative bioscience knowledge positions me perfectly to lead ProCam’s nutrition offering,” says Andrew. “Nutrition plays a pivotal role in a farmer's ability to manage crop production in a profitable and sustainable way and UK agriculture is at a tipping point, where input efficiency, soil health and margin optimisation are paramount.”
Based in Cambridgeshire, Andrew will work closely with ProCam’s suppliers and nationwide agronomy team to provide targeted, evidence-backed nutrition solutions that align well with robust agronomy advice.
“ProCam already has an excellent range of crop nutrition products, and I want to ensure our agronomy teams have all the insight and technical data they require to help their growers meet regulatory and climatic challenges, while improving return on investments.
“It's an incredibly exciting time to join ProCam. The crop nutrition sector is facing global volatility that determines our input prices, weather events severely impacting yields, and shifting environmental targets. Growers need nutrition solutions that deliver a tangible return on investment while supporting long term crop and soil resilience,” concludes Andrew.
