NSA: Showcasing the breadth, depth and long-term value of work as the voice of the UK sheep sector
The National Sheep Association (NSA) has published its first annual Impact Report, setting out the work it delivered in 2025 and the difference it is making as the voice of the UK sheep sector.
The NSA Impact Report 2025 opens with introductions from NSA President Lord Inglewood and Chief Executive Phil Stocker, followed by a clear account of activity across the year. It outlines NSA’s work in policy, industry projects and support for future farmers through NSA Next Generation, alongside a summary of key events, including what to expect for 2026.
The report also details the practical support and benefits available to members of the association, including the NSA Lambing List and NSA Ram Sales and shows how farmers have made use of these services during the year.
NSA operates through nine UK regions, each undertaking its own programme of meetings and events to engage the sheep farming industry. Through NSA regions, the views of sheep farmers in every corner of the UK can be heard and taken forward to influential meetings by the NSA management team.
The new, informative report summarises regional activities through the year and gives an insight as to what members and non-members can expect from NSA in 2026, including the flagship NSA Sheep Event and NSA Scotsheep event.
The NSA Impact Report 2025 highlights the breadth, depth and long-term value of the work NSA completes, both representing and supporting the UK sheep sector through its variety of activities and efforts across the UK.
Mr Stocker says: “NSA has been representing the views and interests of sheep producers for more than 130 years.
“By sharing this account of our activity in 2025, we hope those we seek to represent will be satisfied by the work NSA is doing on their behalf.
“As an organisation committed to the long-term interests of UK sheep farming, NSA is driven by impact, even when that impact is not immediate or easily measured. Much of our work happens behind the scenes and unfolds over long timescales – but it is meaningful and we hope this report is welcomed by the UK sheep sector and allied industries.”
NSA activity is funded by its membership subscriptions. Every membership strengthens NSA’s mandate to speak on behalf of the industry and provides vital financial support. For more information on NSA membership, please visit www.nationalsheep.org.uk.
