The new agricultural college is set for development at the Lincolnshire Showground, north of the City of Lincoln. The new development will move agricultural courses from the Riseholme college campus, the lease on which expires in 2020.

The development would include labs, a working farm, animal units, workshops and halls of residence for students. Bishop Burton College Principal Jeanette Dawson said the new campus would focus on advancing "Science and technology," augmenting Lincolnshire's place as one of the UK's principal agricultural counties and keeping skilled work within the region.

College sources say extra funding is still needed to execute the move, but appear confident that courses could start at the new site as early as September 2015. The College said events at the showground, which hosts the annual Lincolnshire show, would be unaffected by the development.
