ING UK launches Food, Beverage and Agribusiness sector with senior appointment

ING has appointed Eanna Mulkere as a Director to establish its Food, Beverage and Agribusiness (FB&A) sector in the UK, marking the first time the bank has created a dedicated UK focus for the industry.

The move signals a strategic expansion of ING's UK business, bringing a sector-led approach already established in other markets to UK companies operating across food production, processing, manufacturing, and agribusiness.

Mulkere joins ING UK with more than 25 years' experience in food, beverage, and agribusiness banking. He most recently spent eight years in ING's FB&A team in Dallas, where he built, expanded a diverse client portfolio, and led transactions across the sector. Prior to ING, he headed US Food & Agribusiness at BBVA.

"Food and agriculture are strategically important to the UK economy, but they are also becoming more complex to finance," said Eanna Mulkere. "ING has deep global expertise in this sector. Establishing a dedicated UK FB&A franchise is a real opportunity to bring that insight closer to UK businesses and support them through long-term change."

Mulkere will work within ING's global Commodities, Food & Agri platform and report locally to Francesca Mosca, Head of Corporate Sector Coverage UK.

"Launching Food, Beverage and Agribusiness as a standalone sector in the UK is a deliberate step and fits our global strategy to increase our global footprint in this sector, very much in line with investments made recently in APAC, France, Spain and Ireland for example," said Kiran Sanchit, Global Lead and EMEA Head of Food, Beverage and Agribusiness at ING. "Eanna has built successful FB&A platforms before, and his experience makes him ideally placed to do the same in the UK."

Mulkere will be based in London and joins ING UK on 1 May 2026.
