EuroTier debate to tackle the challenge of sustainable dairy farming by 2030
Industry leaders and dairy farmers attending EuroTier 2026 are being invited to join a live debate examining what needs to change over the next four years to accelerate the delivery of sustainable milk.
Hosted by Adisseo, the 75-minute session will bring together voices from across the dairy value chain to tackle ‘From Ambition to Action: Accelerating Sustainable Dairy by 2030’.
With major dairy and food businesses working towards 2030 climate and Scope 3 targets, the discussion will move beyond ambition to focus on delivery.
The session aims to answer where meaningful actions can be made today, what is preventing change from happening faster on farm and how can the industry accelerate progress while protecting productivity, profitability and future milk supply.
The live panel debate will be chaired by journalist and broadcaster Tom Heap, from BBC’s CountryFile with panellists: Philipp Goetz of IFCN, Ian Ross, CEO of the GVF Group, Nancy Winkelmon, Dairy Sustainability Specialist of Interfood Group, and UK farmer and producer David Homer.
Shane Fredin, Business Development Manager covering Ruminant Sustainability at Adisseo, says: “2030 is getting closer and there’s already a huge amount of work happening across dairy on the environmental impact of producing milk.
“We want to use EuroTier to bring different parts of the industry together and have a lively, practical discussion about what can be done now and what needs to move faster.”
The session will include audience participation and Mr Fredin says this will bring depth to the debate as well as letting the audience have their say.
“This is an opportunity for farmers and people from across the dairy value chain to challenge ideas, share their experience and contribute to the conversation,” he says.
“We’re looking forward to hearing what both our panellists and the audience have to say.”
The debate starts at 10am, on 11 November. It will be held in the Press Office in room 13/14.
