Pitchup.com extends FCN partnership for a third year

Pitchup.com has committed its support for The Farming Community Network (FCN), Britain’s farmers and their families, for a third year.

Pitchup, a UK-based global search and booking platform for outdoor accommodation, has steadfastly championed the rural economy since inception in 2009 and is passionate about supporting rural economies

Continuing the partnership for the third year, since originally joining forces in November 2023, Pitchup’s support will help the FCN to continue their vital work in helping improve the lives and wellbeing of the farming community.

In addition to donating money to the charity, Pitchup.com continues to share mental health resources with its farming customers, and Pitchup.com’s customer-facing team have been trained to understand the challenges farmers face, signposting them to the FCN’s support services if they need it.

Dan Yates, founder of Pitchup.com, said farmers need as much support as they can get, especially with the dry hot temperatures causing additional pressure this year.

He added that by supporting FCN, Pitchup.com’s hope is to help to relieve some of the pressures farmers are currently experiencing.

Mr Yates said: “Farmers have faced unprecedented challenges in recent years, from funding changes, to sustained price rises, and continuing extreme weather events. The farming community continues to plough on, despite these pressures, but sometimes the strain can become unmanageable.”

“This is where FCN steps in. Their work is vital in ensuring every farmer has somewhere to turn when they need support the most. Pitchup.com is very happy to continue to support such an impactful organisation.”

Georgina Lamb, Head of Partnerships at FCN, said she was delighted Pitchup.com had chosen to continue its support of the charity for another year.

She said: “The team at FCN are extremely grateful for this extended support enabling us to continue our valuable work across the country and creating opportunities to raise awareness about the work of the charity.”
